Our Spring Break

This past week was a lot of fun. My sister Lisa came down to visit for the week, and we did a lot of fun stuff! It was nice to have all of the kids here too, although they did have to stay inside for a few days. The boys were laying the pipes for our-some day in the future-yard and they weren't all covered, so the kids were forced to stay inside. And to tell the truth, it wasn't at all that bad to have them all running around. Here are a few things we did that week.

Justin and Adam working on the yard
Lisa brought stuff to teach me how to draw and carve my own stamps
We decided to go to the zoo and everyone was there, so it was a little hectic
Then Rocky taught me and Lisa how to weld.
I made pancakes from scratch
This is us gathering together to let everyone know the rules of the egg hunt
This is Justin playing bowl-quet
And we found this cart on our way from the park, so of course the boys had to go down the hill which made the kids want to go too
On our last day together, we made bouncy balls ourselves
So that was our week in a nut shell, although I swear we did a lot more than that! But it was nice to relax for a few of the days to enjoy each other.

Grateful

All of the grand kids together for the first time in over 2 years
Two little peas in a pod-Rhett and his cousin, Catalina
Ethen taking pictures at the zoo too
Rocky teaching me and Lisa how to weld-it is so therapeutic! That is Lisa in the picture first making contact with the metal
Ethen's first Easter egg hunt-you can tell that they were not hidden that well

Stuck

Right now I am trying to get out the door for dance practice. And when I was getting Ethen dressed, I put his pants on, and thought his legs were in each side. WRONG!!! I sat him down to put his socks and shoes on, and would you believe it? He put both of his legs in one of the pant leg holes. He thought it was funny, until I got the camera out. Then he started to get angry at me, perhaps for the fact I was capturing this somewhat embarrassing moment for him in the years to come. I think cute, but whatever. And sure enough, when I put the camera down, he was fine. Go figure.

Kaylee's second tooth

On Monday this week I felt Kaylee's other bottom front tooth to check on it. It was even more loose than the last time! So I convinced Kaylee to let me pull it out. So there we sat for the next half hour to an hour wiggling, twisting, pulling, and a lot of screaming from both parties involved. It creeps me out to pull a tooth out of my children's mouths but it had to be done. And just when we thought it was over, a tiny piece of her mouth wouldn't let the darn tooth go! So I decided to sit there and wiggle it slowly. Then after about 20 minutes of that, it came out. I couldn't believe it! What a stubborn tooth. I told Kaylee that it just didn't want to budge. It liked it there in her mouth, but she didn't find much comedy in that while I was causing her pain. But afterward, she thought it was a little bit silly. So here it is. Kaylee's second lost tooth.
